CheckPro and LoanPro

CHECKPRO and LOANPRO use UnForm from Synergetic Data Systems to process laser forms such as contract documents and other laser forms. UnForm requires PCL5 compatible laser printers in order to print from CHECKPRO or LOANPRO correctly (*see below).

While many printers meet this criteria, Hewlett Packard has discontinued providing PCL fonts in most of their small to mid range PCL compatible printers (thus relying on Windows to provide the fonts). Since CHECKPRO and LOANPRO are not Windows based applications, these printers will not print correctly.

• Host-based (or GDI printers) DO NOT WORK with CHECKPRO or LOANPRO.

We recommend the following printers for printing contracts from CHECKPRO or LOANPRO:

• Most users will want the Dell 2350dn Laser Printer or the HP LaserJet Pro 400 M401n.
• For a (black and white) multifunction printer (print, scan, fax, and copy) that works well with CHECKPRO, we recommend the Dell 2335dn Multifunction Laser Printer.
• For other options, SDSI maintains a list of compatible printers. Notice: Only the models with a YES in the "PCL5" column will work with CHECKPRO and LOANPRO; please check this list to make sure your model says "YES" in the PCL5 column or contact us prior to purchasing your laserjet printer.
